This policy describes what data Labviq collects, why, and how it is handled. It applies to the Labviq iOS app and associated backend services.
When you sign in, we receive your name and email address from your chosen authentication provider (Apple, Google, or email/password via Clerk). We store these so we can attribute scans to your account.
When you scan a vial, the photo is uploaded to our backend for processing. We store the original image, the extracted fields (catalogue, lot, expiry, supplier, etc.), and any supplier-database enrichment results. These are scoped to your account.
We log standard server-side request metadata (timestamp, IP address, user-agent) for security and debugging. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
We do not sell user data. We do not share user data for advertising.
We share scan images and extracted text with Anthropic, the provider of the AI vision model used for label extraction. Anthropic does not use submitted data to train their models when accessed through Labviq's API integration.
Authentication is handled by Clerk. Server hosting and storage are provided by Railway. These processors hold data only to provide their services.
